Lines of SVGs thicken when drawn

When VideoScribe has finished drawing an image the lines of the image can thicken and get darker. If you are creating your own SVG images, this article will give you tips on how to reduce this.

It may not be possible to completely eliminate the thickening of SVG lines when they have been drawn in VideoScribe but we have found that these tips can help to reduce the effects of this considerably in most cases.

  • Make the art-board size 1000 x 1000 pixels
  • Make the width of your strokes 4 pixels wide
  • Make sure you use the below save settings if you are using Adobe Illustrator
  • If using Inkscape, make sure that the units of measurement are set to pixels within the document properties (A & B). Also make sure that the ‘Scale’ is set to 1 (C).
